Local action...
Red Alert has a network of local volunteer groups who carry out practical conservation work for red squirrels. Some of the volunteers are woodland owners. In this way, local groups are involved in...

Woodland management.
Red Alert provides advice to woodland owners and managers on action for red squirrels.

Many landowners who have red squirrels living on their land are working to provide long-term management of benefit to red squirrels. A network of red squirrel reserves is being set up across the north of England. You can find out more here.

Could you be a volunteer? All these measures are vitally important and much help is needed.

If you would like more information about Red Alert or our Local Groups throughout the region, please contact Jason or Simon at Red Alert North West, home of red squirrel conservation.
